How Long To Roast A Chicken At 350°F

Are you wondering how long to roast a whole chicken at 350°F? Well, don’t worry we are here to give you an ultimate guide. Let’s start with a recent interesting story.

Today there was a chicken out of the oven for a long time. It’s easy to prepare and always nice and crunchy if our little daughter didn’t think she wanted to eat right when mom and dad wanted to eat. It’s basically exemplary of her, only that she hasn’t gotten beyond breast milk yet, unfortunately.

The smell that was distributed in our apartment was also outrageously good, so we finally got even more hungry from it. So I can understand our little one well. Well, our crispy chicken wasn’t quite as crispy afterward, but if you don’t leave it at home in the fresh air for half an hour, it will stay hot and crispy. It was still delicious anyway. At some point, the little one will get older too…

How Long To Roast A Chicken At 350°F

Normally, the guide value for poultry in the oven is one hour per kilogram at 350°F circulating air or 177°C top/bottom heat. When using the poultry roaster, the cooking time in the oven is reduced because the poultry roaster also conducts heat into the inside of the chicken and is therefore cooked from two sides.

Crispy roast chicken from the oven

Nothing beats a crispy roast chicken out of the oven.

EQUIPMENT

  • poultry roaster

INGREDIENTS  1x2x3x

  • 1 roast chicken – about 1.5-1.6 kg
  • 100ml oil _
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 teaspoons sweet paprika *
  • 1 tsp Malabar Curry* – or other to taste
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder* – to taste
  • Salt
  • pepper

PREPARATION

  • Put the oil and honey in a shaker and shake well. Then add the rest of the ingredients, feel free to use a little more salt or the chicken will be limp. Shake well again and taste again if necessary. Make sure the marinade doesn’t get too runny, otherwise it will run right off the chicken. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Rinse the roast chicken thoroughly inside and out with cold water. Trim off any excess fat on the chicken. Lay the roast chicken at an angle so that the excess water can also drain from the inside. Then pat dry inside and out with paper towels. Now you can place the roast chicken on the poultry roaster and brush the marinade on all sides. Alternatively, place the chicken on a grid and the drip pan underneath.
  • Place the roast chicken in the preheated oven for approx. 60 minutes (90 minutes without the poultry roaster). Brush the chicken with the marinade that has run off.

TIPS

French fries, potato wedges, and salad go well as a side dish.
